I have to admit, HoneyToon flew under my radar for years. The platform gets around 15 million visitors a month, which piqued my interest, but the whole place seems pretty SFW on the surface. Imagine my surprise when I finally noticed the little slider in the corner of the interface that activates the adult content. In an instant, that seemingly wholesome spread of action manga, drama comics and romance webtoons took a hard turn into much sexier, more explicit territory.
HoneyToon.com is a premium webtoon platform with an extensive catalog of adult content among its myriad offerings. I’m genuinely curious how many of their users are stopping by for the clean stuff and how many stick to the material we’ll be exploring today, as the naughtier comics vastly outnumber the worksafe ones. Let’s take a closer look at all that X-rated sequential art, shall we?
Perusing the Shelf at Honey Toon
If it’s your first time at Honey Toon, you’re going to want to tap that slider on the screen with the R on it to unlock the Restricted material. The layout stays the same, but there’s a massive tonal shift when you switch to NSFW mode. Not only does the front-page selection of previews switch over to porn manga, but the list of genres expands, adding suggestive categories like MILF, Cheating and Harem.
I didn’t immediately notice any furries, giantesses or tentacles among the spread, so I’m not sure HoneyToon is quite as freaky as some of the homebrew doujinshi libraries out there. That said, they’ve got a fantastic and kinky range of material that includes BDSM, sugar daddy fantasies, netorare tomfoolery, sexy office encounters, gender swapping and a whole hell of a lot of taboo stepfamily storylines.
The webtoons and manga here are episodic, each part of ongoing stories that can span dozens or sometimes even hundreds of installments. They’re really generous with the freebies, too, letting even the cheapskates take in a few complimentary episodes from their catalog of sordid tales. I might go as far as slapping a Freemium label on the platform, though those free eps serve as an enticement for the paid stuff; the first episodes in any series are free, but if you’re enjoying yourself, you’ll have to pay to keep reading.
I’m sure a lot of you are wondering about the censorship situation, so I’ll go ahead and warn you now, most of their adult webtoons do blur out or otherwise obscure the naughty bits. At the same time, they do include Uncensored as one of their tagged subgenres, and carry a growing catalog of fully explicit hentai. There are 27 Uncensored series as I type this up, each with big handfuls of episodes to shake your dick at.
Cheaper and Less Stinky than the Local Comic Shop
If and when you run out of freebies, or simply want to continue a Honey Toon you already started, you’ve got a couple options.
You can subscribe for full access to the catalog or purchase your favorite webtoons with coins. Memberships are $13.49 a month, with cheaper rates if you go longer, or a slightly more expensive weekly rate. The big catch for the subscriptions is that the uncensored material ain’t included unless you spring for at least the 12-week plan.
Coins start at $35 for 450 with discounts on bigger packages, and individual HoneyToon episodes will run you 9 coins a pop. The advantage here is that you can read your purchases forever, even without a membership. The biggest disadvantage is that, again, you can’t access the Uncensored stash.
This is a good place to point out that HoneyToon.com doesn’t offer any downloads. I wasn’t able to save any manga panels with a right-click, and my downloader plugin wasn’t any help, though some of the bigger nerds in the audience might be able to figure out a workaround. If the site were more expensive, I’d be more upset, but whatever. Tickets are still cheap.
Members get access to thousands of episodes in dozens of comic series. That can add up fast if you’re trying to buy them all with tokens, which is another point in favor of the subscription option. Again, you need the 12- or 24-week subscription or you’ll run into a bouncer on the way to the Uncensored aisle. As much as I wish it was included with every membership, I get it. Uncensored hentai is a rarer, hotter commodity, so they can charge more for access.
They’re dropping a few new Honey Toon episodes every week, too, which is above and beyond the once-weekly releases I expect on video paysites that cost thirty bucks. The most recent updates include chapters about sexy college flings, cheating MILFs, cougar hunting and getting laid at the office, and I like how they tease upcoming episodes of the ongoing storylines. It looks like I showed up one day too early for the latest installment of Osaka, so I’ll probably stop by again tomorrow.
Jerking Off to HoneyToon
Once I got my HoneyToon.com account set up, it was time to read some of those titular Honey Toons. I decided to start with one of the most popular series, Desire Village, which features a topless blue-haired babe in the thumbnail and tags for Cheating and Harem. It’s up to eight episodes so far, which a couple new installments scheduled for the coming weeks.
They don’t have an elaborate, comic book style hentai reader like some sites in the genre, instead displaying each episode in one long-ass page to scroll through. The Prologue of Desire Village opens with a busty office lady saying, “I like it big… is it big over there?” I started getting big on my end just looking at the T&A in her tight outfit, even before the story really started heating up.
The Prologue really reads like the intro to a porn scene, maybe even something I might shoot for PornDudeCasting. A male realtor shows our heroine a new house, big like she wanted, and then asks how she wants to pay. “May I suggest an alternative method of payment?” she asks in the final panel.
Between the art and the setup of the Prologue, I was eager to move on to Episode 1. That’s where things really heat up, opening with a standing doggystyle sequence. See? I told you this was like a PornDudeCasting scene! There’s big booty spanking, squirting, fingering with internal imagery, face fucking and a big, messy finish. “If you don’t swallow, the deal is off.”
As much as I love the free doujinshi libraries out there, the amateur art can be really hit or miss. One of the things I love about HoneyToon is the high-quality, fapworthy art. Desire Village is a beautifully illustrated example, full of realistic curves and exquisite shading that helps bring the whole thing to life. It’s a damn shame about the censorship, because I would have loved to see the penetration in more explicit detail. Still, the whole thing was easily worth a pump of lube, and I’d just started the series.
In case you’re curious, the first four episodes of this particular Honey Toon are free, so go ahead and help yourself. You’ll have to pony up some cash if you want to read further, but I’d say it’s worth it. In episode five, our original heroine invites the realtor over for dinner, but first he gets a footjob from another lady friend. This dude is living the dream!
I’d recommend a peek at HoneyToon.com if you’re into hentai but don’t like digging through the bullshit on the free sites just to find the bits of masturbatory gold buried within. One of the biggest advantages of a stash like this is just the consistent level of quality control, ensuring the art and plotlines are hot enough to keep you all hard and drippy. They’re not stingy with the freebies around here, so you can start reading most of the comics without putting any coins in the machine first. If you find yourself hard up for more, full access to the library is cheap.
