Kemono Party! When I first wrote about Kemono, the platform was getting about six million visits a month. That’s a healthy userbase for a site focused on things like big-eyed bimbos, fuckable furry freaks and exquisitely illustrated monster sex, but the whole thing has picked up steam and perverts since my last writeup. They had about a quarter of a billion visitors last month, which makes them one of the most popular hentai sites on the internet. I was curious to see what kind of improvements they’ve made since my last visit, which is why we’re here today.
Kemono.cr is a free hentai-sharing site. This ain’t your typical imageboard, though. The folks behind the scenes describe the site as a public archiver for platforms like Patreon, Discord and Gumroad, which means you should be able to find sample content that you wouldn’t within your average doujinshi library. I’m a sucker for rare sample content, especially if I can shake my dick at it, and I have a feeling you are, too. Let’s get right into it.
Gorgeous Hentai and Other Fapworthy Formats
The interface at Kemono makes it feel a bit like your standard imageboard at first blush. I don’t feel like it’s terribly complicated, and the weebs will feel right at home, though I wouldn’t say it’s quite as user-friendly as your average porn tube. It’s a few steps up from joints like 4chan, and more focused, though that really ain’t saying much. If you’re brand new, it might take you a few minutes to get your bearings.
One of the things I really like about the site is how much emphasis they put on the content creators, with a sidebar menu that puts the Artists above the Posts. They’re archiving samples of Artists from Patreon, Pixivi Fanbox, Discord, Fantia, Afdian, Boosty, Gumroad, SubscribeStar and DLsite. I believe that’s a full current list, drawn from the platform’s own intro message, and I’d bet they add more as they arise and grow in popularity.
As I started flicking through recently cached artists at Kemono.cr, I realized something. When the platform launched, it was almost entirely focused on X-rated manga art, but that focus has shifted and widened a bit. I think the rise of the AI has played a factor, because there’s a fair amount of uncanny realism among the spread now. There’s also legit realism in the form of cosplay girls and other models who post on sites like Patreon. I even found snippets from video game streams, 3D parodies of popular characters in scandalous situations, and adorably cute but fully SFW anime pixel art.
Hentai still makes up the bulk of the stash, but there’s enough variety in formats to keep even the anime haters all hard and drippy. On that note, I wish it was a little bit easier to browse your format of choice. You can find categories like AI Generated, Photos and Comic Pages listed among the Kemono.cr Tags page, but it’s a sprawling, unwieldy index that doesn’t make for easy browsing. I will say that the site as a whole is better organized than it was when I first reviewed Kemono, so I’m hopeful they tweak the category access a bit for easier access.
What Kind of Kinky Stuff Are You Into?
Perhaps the most noteworthy element that makes Kemono.cr easier to search or browse than in the early days is the Tags menu. They didn’t have that when they first launched, but it’s now the kind of thousands-deep index you expect from a good hentai site. It’s almost overwhelming in its scope, which is why I’d recommend using the search function instead of squinting as you read through that seemingly endless list.
There’s an absolutely insane range of adult subgenres here, ranging from the vanilla to the ultra-kinky hentai stuff a lot of you showed up for. They give you numbers beside the categories, so you know how deep the well is before you jump in. As I type this up, there are nearly 7,000 posts in the Monster aisle, about the same in the Disney section, 5K with babes doing Ahegao faces, a few thousand Chastity scenes, over 4100 with Tentacles, and more than 30,000 posts tagged with Genshin Impact.
No, that’s not a typo. Ganyu, Varessa, Tartaglia and the rest of the Genshin gang are wildly popular at Kemono, and they ain’t alone. Adult parodies are among the hottest content, and it’s very well stocked. Properties like Pokemon, My Hero Academia, Overwatch, Star Wars and Marvel have been riffed on ad nauseum by the artistic deviates whose work lines the shelves, with over 10,000 examples of each. Scrolling down the list, I found some really unexpected parodies like Better Call Saul, which just helps prove Rule 34 as an actual, verifiable fact: if it exists, there’s porn of it.
I’m going to nitpick again here, because I see room for improvement in the tagging. Both the content formats and the parodies could use their own entry lines on the posts, as well as their own browsable menus. The Kemono.cr Tags list is already massive and still growing fast, and some alternate methods would be really helpful for digging into the pile for whatever treasure you’re after. Again, just use the search bar in the meantime.
Just How Deep Is This Pile?
I’ve hinted at this a few times already, but in case you’ve missed the clues, Kemono.cr is fucking huge. There are hundreds of thousands of posts in the library, and each post typically features at least a handful of images. I wouldn’t be remotely surprised to learn there are millions of pics inside, and I wish I could give you harder numbers in that respect. Suffice to say, you’re probably not going to run out of fap fodder unless you’ve got a seriously deep-niche fetish.
It’s growing fast, too. As I’ve been writing this review, I’ve periodically been making my way back to the Recent posts in the Artists section. There’s new sample material posted every few minutes, offering a steady stream of fuel for your masturbatory entertainment. In the last hour or so, they’ve added some video game vids, some Mario Kart parody hentai, a mostly text-based post about Israeli missile drones, and some 3D furries getting their fuck on. One of these things is not like the other, and I think you can guess which. What can I say? It’s a diverse spread!
Kemono runs on user contributions, which ain’t unusual for any adult website. What is very uncommon, though, is a convenient import tool for helping build the collection. Their machine can help do a lot of the heavy lifting for you, so you don’t have to spend all day manually uploading samples from your hard drive. The setup goes a long way in explaining how the platform has grown so big, so fast. It’s hard to overstate just how big and diverse the platform is, with a catalog that has expanded into various hentai-adjacent formats and a Tags list encompassing the deepest of kinks. The platform has grown faster and faster as they’ve built up popularity, their users building the library at a frantic pace, and I think that’ll continue to snowball.
